Daredevil Remi Lucidi dies after fall from 68th floor for Instagram stunt

sounds like an Alain Robert wannabe - Alains had more than 3minutes of fame in the real world

should instagram be banning this kind of material children might imitate, like the other youtube prankster who was recently fined/banned

e:Hohhold on Robert

If we have just let a person in our flat through the window, 64 floors up and he wants to rob us, I am pretty sure most people would have no issues in restraining them as they'll be absolutely cooked.
Aye, I’d imagine the only thing they’d be trying to rob you of after that climb would be a bottle of water and an intravenous drip of redbull :p

Well, you would be assuming, as I can also assume when you say "most people", you are not thinking some one from HK, who are naturally shorter, smaller, but thinking your western physique?

It's very easy to analyse it after, knowing who that guy is, what that guy's motives are for being out there.

I've just been watching more Alex Honnold Videos funnily enough but it's difficult to draw much comparison. The is a guy who has lived and breathed climbing, spent years studying routes and using visualisation to achieve his goals etc. and not some guy after clicks/likes.

Free Solo is a must watch.

It's like I said, the difference between guys like this and the "influencers" are that this guy has 100% concentration into his activity, the influencers have half their mind on getting the best shot and have to contend with holding their cameras as well while they do their stuff, you absolutely cannot be distracted when it comes to extreme activities where a single error will result in death

doesn't make sense dude - you've just said the likelihood of being a thief is unlikely.......then revert to claiming most HK folk would assume the worse, first instinct (it's a thief) I just don't understand that logic. my first instinct wouldn't be 'omg thief'.....upon seeing some eejit hanging off my window i'm not going to be thinking they're the worlds most determined thief, likewise i'm not going to be thinking 'ach it's just another one of them tiktok folk doing their thing'
i am going to be hella curious as to what the holy **** they are actually doing.

p.s. i'm not having a go at you, i just don't get how someone would immediately panic and think they were about to be broken into by a french spiderman.

Surely a King Kong costume would have been more apt?

Poor lad though, the fear that he must have felt just at that moment of realisation.

Well, you would be assuming that everyone in HK is smaller than me, what is my western physique? As I am certainly below average in height and weight.

Its very easy in taking some common sense in to account, if they are 64 floors up, it is clear they are there for climbing/stupid activities and not for robbing you.
If you were a thief, why would you even choose the 64th floor ffs unless it is someone that is being targeted as such.
Maybe have some humanity first rather than happy to let someone die on the off chance they could be, of all things, a thief...

Common sense would apply AFTER, like you are doing now, when you know everything. I am talking about in the moment, as an instinct. You are using words like humanity, which requires knowing the guy's reason for being out there. Which in an instinct, you wouldn't. Because hanging out of a skyscrapper is not a hobby one would do, and the instinct isn't to find out why, the instinct is, go back where you come from.

Well my instinct in seeing a guy outside my window 64 floors up will be to try to assist and retrieve him, not to shut him out to his death.
Its completely fair to ask for humanity, because you are showing so little of it. You dont need to know one's situation and the facts to be humane and to provide assistance.

you're on the 68th floor, you see someone outside and your immediate reaction would be that they are a thief......68 floors up outside, your window?! that's some proper determined attempt at a bit of cat burglary!! :p
Well you'd have to determine the height of the person, if they appeared to be 4 foot 9 for example, then it's an obvious stunt by Tom Cruise for the next MI flick.

No, it doesn't... WTF Raymond? Even if he literally was there to rob someone's flat in a very bizarre attempt at gaining entry it still doesn't deserve a death sentence.

If someone is hanging outside a very tall building and clearly panicking/in distress then the normal thing to do would be to simply try to help them.

My guess is he’s injured himself, muscle tear or something, and couldn’t get help in time.

It just goes to show how stupid he was. Anyone sensible would have taken a window breaker, or a suction anchor, or something to cover an emergency until help arrived. They would have also taken a walkie-talkie and backup on the ground. Or even a phone to dial for help. I mean, seriously, there's stupid and there is downright wreckless.

Edit not worth it

Doesn't matter at the end of the day all it takes is one slip, one moment blacking out or whatever. These topics always remind me of Daniel Ahnen.

He lived the high life! :D

Have to say he had a more interesting life than many. He obviously knew the risks and we all die some day.

He died doing what he loved ay least.

No sympathy, but no judgement either.

I'm a moderate risk taker. I mean could easily die any time out on my bike. I'd expect no sympathy. But I'd rather than than live In safety never testing myself. So these guys I do admire they have the balls for this.
