might be the one to get. Had a look at the BMW Car Eye 3.0 Pro but no battery option for it as I think its a Thinkware product anyway, not sure which version.no because i use the blackvue 130x battery pack
I was looking for a dashcam that I could take from HGV to HGV. Considered the Garmin Mini 2 and Viofo A119 Mini 2, ended up ordering the latter this morning - the deciding factor for me was the included GPS/speed recorded on the footage and the Starvis 2 sensor. The Mini 2 is 1080p, although the footage does look good for 1080p it has to be said.Any thoughts on Garmin Mini 2?

That's a good point for most people, but for most of the vehicles I drive, they have their own camera system anyway, covering front/sides/interior. This is an additional camera for my own use in each vehicle. These days you really need one with an interior camera to counter accusations of being on your phone or eating or suchlike.
Hmm thats an interesting point I had not considered... I would hope this is not very regular though! These days you really need one with an interior camera to counter accusations of being on your phone or eating or suchlike.

thats true, always good to protect yourself! You never know what false accusation will be made. It's easier just to let them lie and then point out to the police officer that you have a dashcam which disproves their lie.
I think the best practice is to have your dashcams then if something happens, don't let on that you have a dashcam, especially if the other person is claiming you were at fault but you weren't, let them call the Police and put their story first. Then speak to the Police 2nd and show the dashcam footage. Has the benefit of exonerating you but also gives the Police the option to caution/arrest someone for lying to them. Seen it loads of times in the different YouTube dashcam channels.thats true, always good to protect yourself!
Middle very top where all cameras should go, and no the part where the wiper doesn't reach does not effect it at allWent for a Viofo A229 Pro duo
Any advice on best placement for the rear camera, want it quite discreet if possible.
