data migration ssd

Hi,

I have read that using the samsung data migration software tool would enable me to clone my hard drive to a new ssd drive so does this mean i wouldn't have to re-install any programs, games, windows etc???

Also do you require any specific leads?

I know it seems like a silly question, but i am not good technicaly with PCs so just want to make the transition as painless as possible.

yes it makes a full copy of the old drive.

you might need to reactivate windows after cloning thats all,use magic jellybean software to recover your windows key if you don't already have it

Macrium reflect is another, I use it for backing up and purchased it because of how good it is. It will clone a HDD too! Very easy to use I find.

I find so many useful programs by looking at these forums, this will go into my useful program folder.

Most SSD's come with the cloning software these days
all 3 I have from different manufactures did.

Never had to reactivate windows on any of them so far
