Data Recovery Companies?

Have you ever used one?

I've got a HDD partitioned into three, a "SYSTEM" "RECOVERY" and "Local Disk", I can access the System and Recovery, but not the Local Disk. In Disk Management, it shows the "Local Disk" as being "RAW" with 100% free space?

Obviously it's beyond my expertise, so probably going to have to send it off somewhere to try and get the data recovered.. Any suggestions for a company to do this, or any other methods I could try?

since the hdd is still there, your lucky id download a demo software try
power data recovery or "recover my files" and run them see if they can get anything back for you.

I've managed to get it working enough to recover the data I needed.

Only took 2 failed CHKDSKS but then worked third time around, bit confused about that like.

Why didn't you just restore the data from your backu....

When buying hard drives for data. Buy at least one spare drive of the same size to keep copies/backups of your data.

or a nice external hdd.... there not badly priced, or cloud storage is available.
