Looking for some basic data recovery software. Any advice please?
Got a laptop with a hard drive which seems to be absolutely "Thomas Cooked" to the extent it's made my system slow when plugging it in.
Symptoms of the HDD are:
- Wouldn't boot into Windows 7 - Would get to the "Windows" loading screen and then blue screen.
- Tried Windows 7 Recovery, cannot repair or install to HDD as I click next and nothing at all comes up.
- Strangely enough there is a label on the HDD titled "Replace with HD spare"
This is what happens when I try to open;
It's been there for about 5 minutes now.
