Wow, interesting. Will be nice to see how well they perform compared to SSD's if they're released in time, also how much they cost in comparison.
 
Repost, not surprisingly.

My thoughts are that if they'd got to market before ssds, they would have made lots of money. Turning up after ssds puts competition which they just can't beat in the way, I'm surprised the project hasn't been abandoned.

Possibly cost/performance, SSD's are horribly priced right now, even for such a low space drive, if these can give a good performance boost over HHD's but come at a reasonable cost, you can bet Dell and the likes will put them in their standard computers.
