Dating - why must it be so hard...

telll me about it.

its been a **** week to a **** month to a ****year, a **** deacde.

I can't wait to shrivel up and die, poutain de meierda. Qu' est quivo.

When I was single I used to love dating. It was fun, exciting. You got to meet lots of people, and go out to wierd and wonderful places. However it is costly, but you do have a laugh on the way and potentially meet some amazing women. However I did it without wanting to really "meet" anyone, and was a little bit aloof and nonchalant, maybe that helps? I don't know. Until recently I used to get a handful of calls/texts from "exs" (though not really as we only went out a few times for erm... fun. So it's possible, I guess you just have to be more laid back about it. The chase is part of the fun. Sometimes being in a relationship is more hard work and complicated than not worrying about it.

You're young free single, don't worry about it, forget that you're desperate and go out enjoy yourself with your mates, meet random people (be it out and about or online). The world's your sewing ground! :D

Right, before and after...

Before -

And, after getting my hair re-styled, and re-coloured, and put some better clothes on... I've get much better jeans, so these aren't the best pictures I guess, but I reckon it has to be an improvement....

After

And, see I can smile... Erm... Actually, this picture was caught off guard.. Shame it wasn't totally in focus -

Another one, nearly got a more natural smile out of me..

I've had a lot of comments today saying my hair wasn't bad before, but this looks much better..??? Tell the truth, I wasn't sure I liked it, still.... Fresh new look has made me feel a little better about myself... Gotta count for something to dig myself out of feeling bad and nearly depressed....

Comments, and I await the photo-shopping... Sorry for dragging this old thread up, didn't want to start a new thread, as it might not have made a lot of sense...;):D

What music do you like?

Erm... Foo Fighters, Feeder, Stereophonics, Editors, Kaiser Chiefs, Red Hot Chilli Peppers.. If I'm feeling in the mood for something a bit heavier, perhaps Disturbed, or Metallica, perhaps a bit of Machine head..!!! Hmm. Like the off spring Em, but then I've been known to listen to some dance music, even got some classical if the mood warrants it..

Honestly, I listen to anything apart from really cheesy pop, such as pop idol etc... Oh and this latest emo rubbish, is it my chemical romance..?? Dreadful..

Why? Important for the old image?? :p:D

Erm.... lol no. I haven't had my ears pierced since my teens - took them out years ago, and that was only my ears, not a chance I'd have any other part of my body pierced..... And I don't like leather coats, but I do like sunglasses...

Thanks for the suggestions though... Dirty ****, well hmm... I'd like to get a nice girl that likes me for what I am, and not some rock dude from a heavy metal band.. :D

That does look smart :)

I'm kind of in the same situation. Been single for a while, 30 and finding it difficult to find someone. I have tried but i seem to be an automatic 'friend zone' kinda guy. I don't mind that though, i've made some awesome friends cos of it but it does get me down sometimes. It doesn't help that i'm really shy either. And i'm not the most fantastically looking bloke, too short for most people as well lol.

It sounds like i'm trying to pimp myself out, i'm not don't worry :)

I joined a dating site to see what all the fuss was about, all that seems to happen is creepy old men or people that have no comprehension of vowels messaged me calling he sexy and babes. My account didn't last long.
How do they expect anyone to respond positively to that?

Sorry to revive a thread... but...

After three and half years together, my girlfriend wants to do her own thing and we've separated. I get to keep the house. She gets the cat. It's also before her birthday, so that won't be an expense this year. (she's thoughtful like that).

She was 6 years younger than me and reached a stage in her life where I'm potentially holding her back.

I'm back on the dating scene again. (Where's Knip?! :p)

So to the OP, forget all the rubbish I told you earlier. It obviously hasn't worked.

My regards to all you single people.
