Dauntless - <Monster Hunting>

I use KB+M not tried with pad but it plays fine and you can see people who are using a controller turn compared to mouse.

Put some hours in over the weekend and working towards getting my armour sets upto +5 and weapons too before cracking on with the higher level stuff.

For every 5 hunts we did though 4 would be fine then 1 would be someone either afk or undergeared and kept dying. I feel like it shouldn't let you queue up for higher level patrols if you don't meet the requirements.

Crossplay works seamlessly on this so far, been grouped up with people on xbox and ps4 whilst playing on PC apart from slightly slower loading times for console players and their icon next to name you wouldn't know.
I am probably wrong but is this the 1st truly cross platform title out?

ie can play with people on PC, xbox or PS4 and log into any platform you want and use the same character

I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Think you can do it with Fortnite, this is first game I've played with seamless cross play, party up with console players whilst playing on PC etc.

Had a play.

There's the bones of a good game in there but it's just a paper thin shell at the moment for them to make money through a battle pass.

The instances should be fleshed out with smaller enemies not just port over and fight a boss, the islands are too repetitive (1 per boss) and there's no story to it.

Let my son have it, shame but fun for an hour at least :p

For all that the game doesn't seem to be going down so well on OcUK my son went to log on today and was shouting he couldn't get on. Came and had a look and a message on the screen saying all servers were full and there was a queue of 67000 people waiting

Must be doing something right :p

It's pretty limited, seems fun at first but after the initial push the game just has different bosses (about 5 skins tweaked for different elemental backgrounds) on different islands (5 islands based on different elemental backgrounds) and you just stand in a town, wait for instance, fight boss, rinse and repeat.

Your lad might enjoy it though, mine does (he's 7)

I'm bored of it and he is 8...he is enjoying it! :P

I started this today and I think it's pretty decent. It could be improved but for what it currently is, I'm liking this. I'm not sure I like the porting over to just fight a boss though, feels pretty limited in that regard.

I love MHW and I'm just waiting for the upcoming expansion.
