Why when Ronaldo's best form has never been when playing from the right? Not for us, not for Portugal and not for Madrid (pretty sure he's almost exclusively played from the left for the latter two)

The good thing about Ronaldo is that I think he would do brilliantly on either wing or up top Imo.

... wha? Ronaldo played pretty much exclusively on the right (as a starting point) for us, with a handful starting up front. He'd be on the right with Rooney/Tevez up front.

No he didn't, it was never a fixed formation in fact he would almost always find himself switching with Rooney between being on the left wing or up front (the UCL final against Chelsea being the most perfect example of this)

Dunno, but I'd fit all 3 (Beck's, Ronnie and Giggs) in somehow. I'd also have RVN in there somewhere as well, maybe LB or something

Becks, Scholes, Neville, Giggs, Peter Sch and Sir Alex were what I remember of my childhood football.

I'm genuinely gutted he has hung up his boots. Even as a Liverpool fan his workrate was consistently superb.

I am amazed by Waddles, comment, simply because I can't think of 100 players better than him in this era, let alone 1000 ! If he had said not in the top ten, maybe... but thats being seriously picky ! The guy was a great pro, and has clearly looked after himself to still be at the top level this late on in life.
