Im really not impressed so far, just feels like someone has reskinned CoH.
.) Maps are too small, even the 3v3 maps are tiny, yes it makes the battles exciting but makes manoeuvring vehicles very difficult.
.) Where are all the units?? Dawn of War 1 was missing a lot of units, now it is just ridiculous. Fire Dragons, Dark Reapers, Jetbikes, Shining Spears, Dire Avengers, Striking Scorpions, Wraithguard, Vypers, Swooping Hawks, Wave Serpent, Storm Guardians and that's just from Eldar!!! It's ridiculous that there are less units than the first one.
.) Ridiculous squads - THREE MEN in a space marine squad??? They get ripped apart very quickly and still cost 500 Requisition to purchase, utterly stupid.
.) Lack of upgrades - Space marines are meant to be versatile yet they've got rid of nearly all the upgrade options. Devestator squads come with ONE heavy weapon and no option to upgrade to any other.
.) HQs have far too much health, I've been in games where we've had every strategic point on the battlefield yet its still taken 10-15 mins to destroy the HQs because....
.) Turrets are insanely unbalanced, far too much health, can destroy nearly every unit very quickly and because the maps are so small can be impossible to flank.
.) Strange commander choices - Librarian?? gone, Why not have an autarch as the offensive Eldar commander and leave warlocks as the seer council/squad leaders.
.) Expensive units seem crap - I was playing as Eldar and finally managed to afford an Avatar, it marched forward....and died in seconds. Compare that to the dreadnoughts which seem to last forever.
I hope they can fix this but with it being so close to release I am not confident. This has gone from being a certain purchase to a 'might get down the line if patches fix it)
