DC2 Type R owners please :)

yellows are unfortunately quite rare and therefore put you back in the region of £7-8k+... they also come with awful homosexual-banana'd recaros :D

but yes, they are sexual.

Is there much/any mechanical difference between JDM and UK?

I like the JDM styling more tbh....annd usually JSM > UK. So assumed.

Main difference is UK has a 2" exhaust throughput... JDM has a 2.5"... hence why the JDM runs closer to 200, the UK to 190...

people with UKs normally whack on a JDM setup, straight fit.

edit: 2.25" for the UK

tbh not worth even considering, if your after a JDM, get one, you won't save much converting from one to other.

good man. take one for a test drive before you do though, just to make sure and all that :)

quite a few of us with them now on here who can help.

Aye, course I'll test drive it first, it's a toss up between this an an S3....this is winning right now...

Thanks for your advice, lets hope the next few months are as successful as the last!

two totally different cars like you say, the S3 is probably going to feel like a bentley in comparison :D

ill leave you with another rather epic vid

^sums it up

the last time we took a DC2 thread over.... the OP went and bought one.

just warning :D

And the guy who was advising me and telling me of his barren search went and bought the one local to him that I was going to look at :p

Then I found my friend crunchy

:D:D:D

Might as well just buy twoblacklines passat, it'l be as much fun, the same weight and same speed as an S3 :D

The JDM 2.5" is the bore of the donut gasket, its a double walled section on the downpipe so the ID is actually 2.25"

Still it makes the UK spec one look comedy in comparison. 98 spec inlet cam were also the same as the EK9 and a slightly more agressive map for 200.

Big job to change the nose of a Teg.

Just get a JDM from the start, awesome machines.
