DDR3 is it really worth it now?

I thought Atlons have integrated memory like i7 will have. But my Mobo has a northbrige :S

Oops, the i7s do have a northbridge, I remembered incorrectly from something I read a while ago.

The northbridge doesn't just handle memory. You could feasibly incorporate all the other features into one chip design (indeed nvidia did, with the nForce 4) but whether that is a sensible design choice is another question
