Dead By Daylight

Free on epic right now, grabbed it last night and ended up playing 4 hours straight, this really is a good and surprisingly deep game for such a simple premise.

Tbh, only killer, the queue for survivor was too long when I tried but killer was always straight in.

Mainly did huntress and trapper, I got utterly trolled the two times I tried nurse.

I am genuinely thinking of paying for extra dlc as its so cheap right now and got the game for free.
 
There's loads of dlc and I'd advise just getting a couple at most to not over load yourself with killers and survivors.

Killer in evening is quick loading, survivor in the day until avout 6/7pm.

Huntress is ambitious for a first time player so well done for trying that, and nurse even more so. Thoigh with that said, the match making has improved a lot recently so it will pair you with equally new survivors.

Trapper is good fun, one tip is don't trap under a pallet as when they pull the pallet then the trap is useless, trap before/after
 
So...might be addicted to this, 17h 52m played since around 7PM Friday, none of that is idle afk either :D

One thing I can't stand, it being chase by Huntress, that humming, freaks me out so bad.
 
Dipped in for a few hours each day after work, haven't had that regular gaming urge since I no lifed Tarkov.

it is near impossible as killer against a 4 man playing well together though.

Stick with it as the match making will just put you with lower rank players as you lose more often.

Do you remember what perks you use? As you will likely have very limited to use per killer so this wouldn't help and its not your fault until you've unlocked more.

For instance, on my doctor, I have a perk from the clown, 1 from legion, 1 from mike myers, and another from demogorogon. All unlocked because I've got each of those killers to level 40 and then taught the perk to the other killers

But you're right. The game is stacked in the favour of survivors, as the killer with 4 perks is essentially fighting against 16 perks, and perhaps great items with great add ons.

My best playing and I can still lose badly some games, hooking once, twice at best, and then other times I play terrible and win before they've done 2 gens.

The issue to me is when you get cocky survivors that are too arrogant for their own good. Very satisfying to kill those ones :p

I noticed the SBMM is quite dynamic and works quickly, i'll have a few rounds where I win then suddenly get a few where they're all absolutely on their A game and I can't even get a single hook.

Still feeling my way through the perks, jump from one to another dependent on killer.

I had this on the desert type tomb map a few days ago, all 4 just tea bagging on a mound and running circles around me as Trapper. I wandered off to other side of map, started grabbing traps and laying them in alcoves, run throughs, windows, ensuring the final gen would have to be somewhere i'd setup nicely. It must have taken about 25 minutes with me going back and forth between 3 gens and resetting traps but eventually got them all. My most frustrating and rewarding game to date.

Also when I join a game and quickly realise i'm up against a squad that knows what they're doing, i'll just fixate on the obesession target and at least prevent that one from surviving. Some kills better than nothing :D
