DEAD RISING DEMO <30minutes!

This game sounda awesome, going to have to download the demo when I get home.

I have one nagging doubt though - set in a mall, killing things...please, oh please tell me this game is way better than State of Emergency, I wasted a whole hour on that piece of junk.

i never personally played state of emergency but dead rising is awsome as from *** i've played so far and the shear amount of on screen enemys kinder takes all you hope away specially when your on 1 bar of life and they stand between u and a loaf of bread or bottle of orange juice then you remember your 12 gauge path clearer.

Hmm..

I play thru a VGA cable, but my friend has played the demo thru a few times, and I also tried my 360 on a friends SDTV and it worked flawlessly.

Maybe its the US code thats the problem? or maybe the bug is only in the full game?

I played it on a 14" sdtv via composite  before my vga cable arrived and the text was only just about readable, but nowhere near as blurry and nosiy as shown on that website!

i have been playing the demo yesterday and think its brilliant,i get abit of slow down tho when i use the sledge hammer and swing it around to knock down a group of zombies. My tv is 28 tube tv and i find the text is abit hard to read also. There are some realy fun weapons on the demo but some weapons are abit useless like the water pistol.I read on here that someone found a machine gun(uzi)? where abouts would i find that?.I could not stop laughing when i took a pic of a dead lady zombie and it said on the Screen erotica and i got laods of points hehe.

"Joystiq can confirm that item descriptions, in-game dialogue, and mission objectives (given via text prompts) are unreadable on a 27" standard-definition TV set using component A/V inputs."

I can confirm it works fine on my Tosh CRT using component all the subtitles and stuff worked fine for me on the demo (not sure if that makes any odds?).
Massive oversite considering the majority dont actually have HDTV sets in their homes, especially in the UK in comparison to the US where HD has been available for a long time.
Looks like they have lost a sale then until I can confirm it or not.

Been playing the full game for a while now.. either I'm really crap or its kinda tough :( Other than that its loadsa fun! I pretty much agree with the reviews with dodgy issues like the save points and the one save slot (luckily I bought a mem card recently effectively making it two slots). I only spotted slowdown at one or two points close to the end. With it being limited by time, you can save and not realise you only have like 2 mins to leg it over to one section and beat a boss. I managed to get one ending so far but there feels like so much I've missed.. mmm replay value.

It's on the ledge above you immediataly on your right when you start off - to get to it, find the stairs a bit further on to the right. Fight your way through to the top landing, turn back and then jump onto the ledge - [frank] should then automatically haul himself up.

had a quick go of the demo and struggled with the controls a bit, mixed reaction but have come back again and wow i'm loving this demo. I particularly enjoy the girl in the HD footage at the start (very well done) but the game itself is just refreshingly different to what i'm used to and I see myself picking up a copy.
