however, i rescue a few peeps, explore some more then save the game .
upon loading it back in at a later time, i have to start right back in the copter at the beginning and do it all again !!!

am i missing something? i have a memory card but no HD .. plz dont say i need to buy that !!

NEVER press save and quit. Save and go back to the game and turn off the console, otherwise it saves your stats but resets your position in the game.

That's one thing this game needs, is a proper quit button.

Try to lure them away from the bulk of the group. They're easier in twos or threes. Either use the katana, or head shot them with a firearm from a distance if you wish. They're horribly easy with adams chainsaws though.

Just want out for the suicide bomber variants who need to be jump kicked.

I think that highlights the importance of adam's chainsaw in this game. It is THE key weapon! You should really have them at this point now ..... (read up how to get them and how to make them even better)
 
its the adams chainsaw with 3 books or something yeh? Where do i get the chainsaw :D

Is it a special one, or just the normal ones from a hardware shop

Adam is one of the many pyscho's dotted around the mall, but he is the KEY one because of the lethal mini chainsaws he has. Upon defeating him (v.easy) his chainsaws will spawn at his spot, which is the space ride in the Wonderland Plaza. Look out for Otis giving you a scoop called 'Out of Control'.

Normal chainsaws from hardware stores can't be stored in your inventory like adam's more powerful variants. You can obtain 3 different books around the mall (locations are mentioned a few pages back) which allow you to hold the chainsaws 3x longer each!

Yer Adam is easy, but compared to the other bossess i thought he was the most "challenging" one (apart from brock) as he blocks and moves around a lot more - e.g. if your usiung a gun you have to wait for the right moment to fire etc.

Whgat i posted a while ago - use search ffs!!!!! :)

The following helped me loads in this game and made it A LOT easier, so i thought i'd share :)

Below is a tip to get Adam's chainsaw (that will now re-spawn next to the contyrol panel in wonderland plaza every time you enter and re-enter the area, carry at least 2 at all times, as you won't need another melee weapon in the game after this) to last 27 times longer.

After you've killed Adam grab his chainsaw and run to the Book shop on the same level - pick up "criminal biograhp" from the back. Now head over to paradise plaza (using the new shortcut Grey has just shown you preferably) and grab the "engineering" and "entertainmnent" books from the book stores.

You chain saw now has 3 purple circles next to it and lasts 27 times longer. You can now kill psyco's in a few hits!

Though if you play through to get 'Overtime mode' 3 survivors will have died and you and Isabela stay behind. = 49 saved. You then have to play through to the 'real' end to get 51 saved and Sainthood.

If you just go for the 'Saint' achievement, stop the main plot line (fail to get somewhere in time) and you can save 50+ if you're at the helipad at noon.

make sure you keep saving regularly when your doing this one. When i was going for this i forgot to save, died and started with 15 less survivors i had to re-save :/

Apparently it is possible to save 53 as most people get 51. Don't know where the 2 extra come fromt tbh :/

right off to buy TDU :)

Yeah ive stopped the main storey because i got 'A' grade on my play through! the only thing is im missing simone and kindell.... but that gives me 46 then myself, natalie, otis and brad gives me bob on 50.....
only thing is i need to take a pic of brad to get the survivor picture achievement! bloody hell! thats lost now i think?!
 
Minor spoiler warning highlight below:

Do not activate the mission 'The Last Resort'. If you do, you will lose Brad, Jessie and Isabella and the helicopter pilot giving you 49 max unless you go through overtime to get Isabella as well. If you let it time out you can get 53/54 max as you either have to do the cutscene where Barnaby dies, or if you don't the CD shop woman won't come with you and you lose Isabella giving you 52 at most.
 
This is early on so i suppose i can say it........
I didnt any missions after finding that barnaby guy with brad! so ill get the worst ending but ahhhhh well ha ha ha!
 
its taking AGES to level up, im level 7 now, the genocide run with the cars doesnt really level me up quickly :(

When do the swot team come?
 
Got this the other day but only really played it Friday/last night. It's slowly becoming better as I get stronger (level 11 atm) I'm enjoying it but not REALLY enjoying it :P.

Can see it getting far more fun when I'm like level 25.

Bet sniper Carlito (he was quite hard though) but died to the supermarket guy, restarted though.

Any idea how to remove those stupid teddy/horse heads?
I put one on and now my character always has it on even when restarting lol, along with the small tight kiddies clothes my guy is wearing I don't exactly look much like a hero when turning up to save people.
 
Dammit! I think Dead Rising has screwed my xbox, was running fine before i started playing save the odd freeze. Now i can't play a game for more than half an hour before i get a freeze, no red lights though just crashes.

Sucks!

How am i supposed to get my explorer acheivement for TDU when i can only play half hour at a time.

Not a happy chappy!
