Because my brother brought dead rising from the local game shop and i had a blast on it before he went back to uni :)

If it aint here tomorrow gonna drop them an e-mail !
 
i ordered lego star wars 2 from hmv and it arrived a couple of days ago.

this was released after dear rising, yes?

sorry ben_uk but it sounds like its gone awol to me :(

I used the sniper rifle to shoot the chopper once special forces arive. It actually didn't take many shots. The trick is getting so where you can take your time. I managed to climb onto the picnic area roof :)

EDIT: Killed him, took about 10 attempts but finally got him. Had 1 square of health left to, so it was by the skin of my teeth lol

I've started again and here's my uber plan so far...

Run out and save the old couple. Save them.
Run over to the food hall and defeat Carlos.
Run to Entrance Plaza and pick up uzi and see cut scene.
Run up the stairs and save the guy in the closet, arm him with the uzi.
Run all the way to the Food Hall and wait for Otis to tell you about the 2 barricaded guys. Arm them with melee weapons.
Take these 3 guys back over to the Security room and save them.
Now do the Kent Photography part 1 and save in the toilets.
Go kill the Convicts (you'll need 2 pistols), save Sophie and take her to the Security room.
Head back over to the food hall and wait for the Adam the Clown scoop, go Kill him, get the chainsaw and get the mainenance guy to open the secret passage. Save, arm him and head out and now go to save the girl in the jewellry shop (Leah I think her name is). Now go and save the japanese guys, arm them if you can and head to the secret passage and take them all to the security room.

That's where I'm up to so far.

Yeah I tried it too. :D

If you leave survivors in another area too long (even if they are in a safe area) they slowly die. Plus the survivors from the roof dissapeared!

And I was too fast for the clown, so I sat in Wonderland missing more scoops until he spawned.
 
So when you complete the game!
do you go back into the game and save survivors you didnt save first time round etc?
Im confused already lol

When you finish a game, or restart your stats are saved as are the pictures in your notebook. But survivors would need to be re-saved on subsequent goes.

If you have a look at the achivements list it either says 'TYPE: 1 Play REQ' or 'TYPE: Total REQ'. This either means you have to complete it in 1 play or in over all your goes.

To get the 'Saint' achivement you have to save 50 people in 1 go.
To get the 'Full Set' achievement you just need to get a picture of everyone over the course of several goes.

Yeah, it's probably the hardest achivement. The trick is not to finish all the cases so Frank, the Copter Pilot and I think one other all count as survivors. There are also quite a few extra survivors dotted about that you don't get Otis calling about; some I can think of...

The guy in the closet in Entrance Plaza
2 people hanging from the big clown near the ride.
3 people in the gun shop in day 3
I also found a girl running about in Parad. Plaza on day 3 as well.
I've heard you can also save the Pyromaniac Pyscho is you extinguish him quickly.

No doubt there's a few more.
 
The following helped me loads in this game and made it A LOT easier, so i thought i'd share :)

Below is a tip to get Adam's chainsaw (that will now re-spawn next to the contyrol panel in wonderland plaza every time you enter and re-enter the area, carry at least 2 at all times, as you won't need another melee weapon in the game after this) to last 27 times longer.

After you've killed Adam grab his chainsaw and run to the Book shop on the same level - pick up "criminal biograhp" from the back. Now head over to paradise plaza (using the new shortcut Grey has just shown you preferably) and grab the "engineering" and "entertainmnent" books from the book stores.

You chain saw now has 3 purple circles next to it and lasts 27 times longer. You can now kill psyco's in a few hits!

Its here at last !!

HMV are bad, almost a week after release :(

However i guess it did save £5 but was it worth it.

Got my second hand copy of Test Drive today aswell.

Brought that on Saturday for £35 and its here the same day as Dead Rising.
 
Going through the game a second time around I've finally got somewhere. Reached the last boss doing all the case files, and tbh the game is brilliant now. Easily one of my best games on the 360.

I reached the butcher and hid behind these racks where he couldn't touch me. While I hid there, I sniped him with my snipey rifle and 2 shotguns and had him close to death. Then something happened and my game ended as it switched to a cut scene....I take it someone got mince meated :(

Got to try and take him on again later. Managed to get my 10k of zombie kills while messing around in the tunnels though :)
