Dead Set On E4

Have to say I think it's really good. They're using the best of the visual style of the genre imo (modern zombie flicks). Low lighting (love how none of the office space rooms have lights on ;P), bit grainy, no shaky cam yet, but no doubt it will all be ruined by a jittery screen. No strobe editing, and a good intro to the story :). It's very filmic!.

I still found it enjoyable, seem to be capturing all the spackers you get on a series of Big Brother while getting some classic zombie action in. Sure it might not score eleventy out of 10 on the OcUK Zombie Critic scale, but it was a good enough way to kill an hour compared to the usual tripe (reality tv included) that's on prime time usually.

It's probably one of the better things on TV at the moment that's produced in the UK, and I think it's up there with the best UK TV of recent years.

The idea of the show is homage to zombies. Sure, there's a bit of satire, that's not really intentional, but Brooker wanted to make TV nasty again. He loves zombies, and zombie movies, and this is his homage to that.

I liked it. It's a bit more brutal than you would see any other TV series go, and I like that. Plus all out zombie-fest to Mika = one of the funniest things I've seen.
