Dead Space 2 .

Oh yes, I remember that one, its those things that cling to the windows. I thought I shot all of them, I guess I didn't.

use pulse rife and mines. by the end of the game i had 100 000 in credits. you should have plenty credits to buy in store

How the hell did you have 100k credits? Did you save up? I always end up having to use up all my credits on ammo and med packs.

Playing on normal too.

Found an area on level 7 where is a matter of minutes you can get all the credits and semi conductors you can carry. No quitting to menus. The save place is next to the door where you can get them. Save/reload checkpoint which is near instant and you get 15-20ks worth of stuff in an instant. No nodes though.

I did it a few times and then moved on. Would be very handy for those doing a harder run through.

I know where you mean, found that by accident myself, think that's where I saved before going in the solar elevator.

Chapter 8 is the only one I've not enjoyed so far. Not a big fan of the zero g stuff in this one or the last. Other than that though so far it's awesome. Lost count of the number of times I've jumped when a piece of machinery has come to life.

The guide I read was using the detonator, I will create a save point and come back to it later if I miss it.

This works a treat. Used the Detonator and did it first time, ta for the tip :D

2 Achievements to go, Zealot (currently on Ch8), and Hardcore (dunno if i'll bother)...

Level 10 is the nuts. It's too quiet you know somethings coming, room after room is clear and then bam!

After clearing that, that's me done til tommorow :D

Dunno how you guys are getting to the end with two weapons upgraded fully, I'm exploring everywhere. Level 10 and I have 90 audio logs so I'm looking everywhere.

I've upgraded my stasis fully and almost my suit but my weapons have a handfull of nodes in them, I hope you get a lot towards the end :D

I'm done with this game now. 950/1000. Just had a go on Hard Core and didn't get very far :D No way I'm spoiling the enjoyment of a great game by trying to complete hard core. I'll live without 50 points :p

Chapter 14 where you're getting chased by the regenerator wasn't any fun at all for me. Up until then i'd enjoyed the game.

The regen-necro is a bitch, there was just no reason for it to be in DS2, as wasn't it created by the scientist in DS1...

It seemed to me it was put in just for the sake of it. It's like they ran out of ideas and that was in just to stretch out chapter 14:rolleyes:

How was zealot with maxed out weapons?

I'm dreading that section already. I didn't mind it too much in DS1 as you had the stasis cheat but it still annoyed me.

Having problems getting the 3 tentacles with one shot on a lurker. Lost count of the amount of tries I've had!

Zealot was pretty easy overall. The only times I ever had any trouble was when I was low on ammo/health. I finished it in around 6 hours.

The regen necros are fairly easy, kill once, run away. In Chapter 15 I didn't bother with half of them, even on Zealot.

The 3 tentacles with 1 shot I got by chance. I did it when I reached Gov Sect.

Cheers just got the tentacle one when I upgraded the width of the line gun.

What were your 4 weapons of choice to upgrade for zealot Rob?
I've spent so long trying to get that damn tentacle one, I've not even had chance to use other weapons apart from the plasma and detonator.

The raptor thingies get on my bits :D

Did you find all the new game + extra suits?

I used the same 4 weapons for Zealot, all upgraded of course. Plasma, Line, Pulse Rifle and Detonator and made the end battle quite easy. As I said, make sure you have plenty of ammo and lots of health packs = a walk in the park.

I think the only suit I didn't buy was the Advanced Elite, I found it, just never bothered with it.

Playing on normal and the last few levels are insane. I'm low on ammo and theres too many enemies. Wish I didn't waste 40k on the advanced suit. The security suit I was rocking was doing just fine. could have spent that 40k on ammo. :/

I'm boned.

I should be alright for health packs I have about 5 large ones and 30 mediums in my safe that should carry over and about 400 plasma and 150 line rounds stored.

The other weapons achieves, I take it you got those with them unupgraded?

You'll need more packs than that :) But if you have plenty of money to buy it shouldn't be a problem. In the 2nd half of the game I always made sure I had as much as I could carry in my inventory (health packs and ammo) when leaving a store

Some weapons were slightly upgraded such as the flamethrower and seeker rifle. None of my weapons were stock but only 5 were fully upgraded.
