Dead Space better than Resident Evil 5?

I have never thought an RE game was a waste of money before either, as usually they take a while to complete. RE5 took me like 8 hours and that was taking it easy as well.

RE4 on the other hand took me a lot longer.

I CBA completing it time and time again to get a new costume, but each to their own i guess.

Its not just the costumes Unless you find all collectables you do not unlock the MP survival mode arena's which are probably the best in the entire game the number of onscreen zombies is ridiculous & you have to survive each one with a high score to reach the next arena etc etc.

The way they designed the game is that if you unlock all costumes it makes the MP arena's easier than they would otherwise be (some are very challenging). Obviously people can use trainers if they cba & the game also has inf ammo for all weapons (you have to unlock that though with the collectables).

Resident evil has taken a turn for the action genre, where as Dead Space is very much more horror.

I didn't find anything that made me jump in RE5 and the puzzles were way too easy, Dead Space is entirely it's own and has plenty of brown trouser moments.

I make an effort to play Horror after 11pm now though , just to add spice .

Resident evil 5 is still a good game btw, just not in the same league as Dead Space.

You referring to 4 and 5? Because the earlier Resident Evil games were brilliant.

sorry, I meant last one, 5. I played first 3 parts and they were cool, great climate, characters were great as well, but latest one is just "walking shooting range"... that is just my opinion, so please don't take it personaly

Dead Space is awesome... non-mavity jumps... monsters... great story...
Only game I completed in 2009

Didn't really like Dead Space for PC. Controlls seemed clunky, the monsters all pretty much seemed the same.

Horror aspect was quite good for the 1-2 hours I played.

RE5 I loved, although I'm a huge RE fan in general.

I found DS really good even though I haven't completed it (me silly I know as I loved the game), I completed however RE5 and though it was good but I still preferred RE4. I think RE5 can kick ass when playing coop mode, computer controlled second char is well buggy sometimes.
