Thats why you should check your mirrors when slowing down, so that you see the biker and give him room to get past.

He was heading towards me.

Sounds like he did it on purpose by your post.. did he? If so, did you give him a reason to be annoyed at you? Or was it an accidental mirror hit?

I guess partly my fault - I was tring to turn right, and he was trying to filter past the oncoming traffic, as soon as I saw him coming I stopped, but I hadn't given him enough room to get past, so he stops next to me and punches my mirror off. Ah well - only the glass needs replacing.

there was someone else... but I've also done it, but only after the guy strangled me at gas station (i did consider legal action from cctv)

was simply red mist revenge...

i suggest op nearly killed him, prolly never even realised.... not good behaviour from biker but sometimes stuff happens

Yeah I appreciate stuff happens, but he was riding slowly, I was nearly stationary - he just didn't like the fact I'd blocked his way

On the bright side I've discovered my car has heated mirrors, they've just never worked
