Just watching the GP, they have confirmed that a moto2 rider was killed whilst racing, cant see any news online yet any one got any further details. Another sad day in motorsport. RIP

Yeah just watching the moto GP and saw Jennie Gow announce it. Was a horrible crash he came off and 2 other guys hit him one of them was Brit rider Scott Redding I think he was taken to the medical centre but is ok.

Must be a few years since there was a death in the MotoGP series another Japanese rider Daijiro Kato was the last I believe.

RIP Shoya Tomizawa :(

Oh no, I saw the crash, ah I am so sad about that, I did think the worst at the time, kind of similer to the brands hatch superbike death.
RIP Shoya

This is obviously a sick question. But Im gonna ask anyways.

Any vids online of the crash?

RIP.

EDIT, found it. looks brutal. Poor bugger.

Yes, try google.

It's another sad weekend for motorsport... :( - French Hillclimber, 13 year old biker and now another teenage rider. :(

Honestly, I think Scott Redding is lucky to have survived that one. He flew a good 15 feet and rolled across a 100m of tarmac.

R.I.P

Was a horrific looking crash, i can'r believe that De Angelis got up and walked away. As an aside, i think the marshalls could do with some more training...they just dragged Scott Redding onto a stretcher and actually dropped the stretcher with Tomizowa on it.
RIP Shoya-san

While I agree that the marshals could have handled the situation better, because the race hadn't been stopped they had to move fairly sharpish, or risk becoming part of an accident themselves.

But nothing gets in the way of the race, right Dorna

Dorna should have stopped the race. It looked awful. What the marshalls did was only one step above using a shovel to clear the track.

R.I.P. Shoya Tomizawa

I missed the beginning of the race so I didn't see the crash. I won't bother searching for it now.

Feel sorry for the guys who hit him. I know that It wasn't their fault but....I can't imagine what they're going through.

R.I.P :(
