*** Death Stranding 2 *** (Please use spoiler tags)

Finally finished this last night. I'm almost disappointed at the lack of the extremely long story cut-scenes that were present at the endgame of DS1.

Story-wise, felt a bit eh. Exactly the same feeling when I think of HZD versus HFW.
 
I was quite disappointed with the game - I wasn't expecting them to double-down on the worst part of the original (the grind) and thought the daft stuff like the main baddie and stupid fights with them, and *that* scene killed any suspension of disbelief - Kojima should know better being a film fan. I feel like he disappeared up his own ass based on the success of MGS and DS1.

Personally I think Kojima is overrated - he's a lot like modern 'art', where there will be legions who will convince themselves that they understand his vision and how it all makes sense - but then there's normal people who see it as it really is..... a mental load of **** :D
 
I suspect, like most of his stuff, you get what you put in to it. I do not think I used any of the new mechanics or the new clobber, visited the zoo again after dropping off a kangaroo, or whatever that coffin thing was or the surfing on it or the rockets or the etc etc etc.

Still a very pretty game and enjoyed the 50 odd hours I spent in it.
