Death Stranding 2

Ive tried starting the first one a couple of times now, but i only get a few hours in before i drop off it all together. But i have decided to to reinstall it and give it another go once ive cleared my plate.

im playing DS 1 currently

its a weird one for me, i kinda like it, but i don't lol
no real action, but i just like the story side of it

I'm in the same boat, started over the weekend. The story is really interesting, I want to see how it all plays out (just know I'll have to sink a tonne of hours into Youtube to have it explained to me). It is kind of slow but fun also. I don't really care for the BT sections but I think that due to how poor of a job it does at explaining what you are meant to do. The U/I is shocking, it's taken me ages to work out how to some of it works, it was only the end of Episode 2 I relalise I could scroll through to change to see the grenades.

I skipped DS1 the first time round as it didn't sound appealing at all. Decided to give it a go when I got a free code for the Director's Cut.

Having played it through to completion (and platinum trophy), I'd put it in my top 10 games of all time. Loved building out my network of roads and zip lines. The overall atmosphere in the game (graphics, music, terrain etc) is superb.

I was actually disappointed when the sequel was first announced as I didn't feel it needed one, but the recent trailer has me excited to jump back into this world again.

I also dropped off DS1 about after you got on the ship to cross the lake. I think I was busy with real life stuff that didn’t help, but I sorta let frustrated that this big desolate world felt very samey (always the same sort of speech from the holographic communicators etc).

I’ll try and give it another go soon, people rave about it and I loved MGS to bits

yea the combat was awful
The only interesting bit was making an optimal zipline network.

And even then whatever you built would decay in two or three play sessions. And then the entire game was "keep repairing everything, over and over".

The story wasn't adequate compensation for the monotony of being a delivery guy cum repair man.
