Death Stranding 2

I played a lot of the first one but it was so samey. The rocks destroying the ability to use vehicles was just frustrating. The baby as well, for me, was just nuts and I got really bored of that 'element'. I'm just glad I didn't buy it (free on Epic).

Unless they address the frustrations in the first (i.e. the travel system) I'll avoid it. Having said that though, I did like some bits. The idea of people doing bits to help was good and actions on the world being able to be used by other players, again, good idea.

I'll keep an eye on it because its a big title but I've tried 3 times to get into Death Stranding one and I just find it terribly boring. I know its Kojima but sometimes I find the media folk who fawn over everything Kojima have that sort of "Oh the painting captures the very soul of existential agony and pain" that art critics say or the "I am getting a hint of dewberries and the storm clouds on a summers day" wine critics.

I’m really looking forward to this.
It took me a few tries to get into DS1, but once I did I really enjoyed it and put 50+ hours into it.
The trailer graphics look amazing, and it makes me want a PS5 pro to see what it looks like on that :D

Having completed Death Stranding twice, which in itself is rare for me, and having been absolutely addicted during both run throughs, I can’t wait for this. There aren’t many games that are unique these days. There’s something special about being in the middle of nowhere, in a complete pickle and then you come across an item that a player has left for you that gets you out of a bind. Heck, near the end on my first playthrough I had to trek most of the way back, for my second someone had left a fully levelled bike. The soundtrack was stunning too.

Going to jump in at launch on your PS5, or wait until it's released on PC ?

I tried to play first part 3 times, always got bored as hell, annoying travelling, those black slimy puddles when fighting with weird crappy enemies, just seriously boring game.
Worst part is I paid for that game, bought it on Steam.

I hope they introduce more guns and fighting in second part.

That's an epic poster.

Also.. that trailer video was just banana's. I really much finish the first one lol.

I really wanted to like the first one but I didn't like the "combat" and I didn't really get it. Loved the atmosphere though. Maybe I should start again from the start as I've not played it in over a year?

I've got 19 hours according to steam, is that a lot for the first one? or bugger all?

Forgot I got the original, must have been free from Epic I guess. Need to try it out, I think I was put off by all the walking in it. Looked gorgeous though. After Im done with Expedition 33 in a week or so Ill fire this up and see how I like it.
