Debadging

I only read this post as I noticed on my insurance renewal it mentioned badges (and ICE) under the modifications section. I'm actually astounded that de-badging can affect your insurance. I have an Audi bought 7 years ago from an Audi dealer and it was de-badged and it never even crossed my mind to think of insurance. I could have had my insurance invalidated at any time.
Its just another pathetic way for insurance companies to try to get out of paying you!!

true, its not like the badge makes it faster :D
 
I used a spoon to lever the letters off and then some detailing spray to remove residue then I SRP the surface. Job done.

Usually the badging thins is "badges indicating increased performance" as this makes inept thieves more likely to go for your car.

Always worth asking them to be certain, if they don't use this wording, however.
