Declining attitude to law and order

Stop and search (but back at the station)

I really really hope this was not a result of a change of policy not to search on the street because of the recent events in the US having a ridiculous impact on our officers.

RIP, just absolutely tragic someone had to lose their life for no reason at all....no reason at all.

stop and search is not the same power as the powers used after arrest. Once arrested a new power comes into play where everyone should be searched to prevent said person escaping custody, once in a police station another power comes into play for another search before suspect enters the cell.

the way I’m reading it there was the original stop and search where the ammo was found and led to the arrest. There should have been a further two searches mentioned above and to be honest if ammo was found it should have been a strip search in custody before going into the cell.

Hmm did you really not bother reading back a couple of pages? The usual suspects were adamant that this journalist was a law breaker and rightly arrested. I could have quoted far more posts but you get the idea. Seems the police lied, its not like we've never heard that before is it. They are meant to uphold the law, not break it and abuse it. If these officers have indeed lied then they should be fired and charged and face the courts. What is the betting none of that happens though?
So just as I said, nothing to do with the UK.

Omg, wont somebody please do something about this mass kidnap and sterilisation program!

Ahh yes the 'I don't believe it so its ok' approach - its not lawful to bundle people into unmarked vans...............

The police using unmarked transport for taking people into custody or for questioning is just as efficacious as using marked ones, and in areas where marked vehicles are likely to stir up hostility from a large criminal element are probably preferable to using stickered ones

America is currently bundling innocent people away in unmarked vans by unmarked police & organised gov appointed thugs, its also got concentration camps sterilising humans against their will.

They are not innocent.
They was caught doing a crime and instead of trying to get them in the course of a riot.
They identify them, and pick them up later with no problems.

Good FBI\Police work.

It's not a kidnapping if you're detaining and questioning people who are suspected of attacking and damaging Federal buildings

You'll note there it says "Oink your last pigs". This is the people you're defending @Combat squirrel, just so you're fully aware. Literal murderers.

Oh and also, why did the media ask Trump if he would accept a peaceful transition? Did they ask that to Obama do you think? Of course he will, he was basically saying it might not be peaceful if people think the vote has been rigged, not that he would issue any orders, it's a ridiculous notion to even ask that. The absolute state of the left wing media.
You DO have to inform them of the reason why they're being detained.
You DO have to log it properly and give them the paperwork on release.
You CANNOT detain someone who just happened to be near the person who committed the alleged crime.
Theses are things that are laid down in both the US constitution and it's amendments and clarified in multiple supreme court decisions yet the "acting" head of DHS admitted that was exactly what they were doing in several cases - grabbing people off the street to ask them about someone else.

That's what they're doing, they're detaining them and questioning them. No one was kidnapped, they were released after questioning.
They were in several cases as admitted by the head of DHS grabbign people who were not suspected of a crime, but had been seen standing near suspects.

By that reasoning the police should be able to arrest someone for standing near a shop lifter and bundling them into an unmarked black van with a bag over their head.

There is a declining attitude towards law and order because the 'law makers' are the worst criminals in history - i have no respect for them, nor the instituations they portray to lead.

For example, trumps latest rants on twitter often involve the tweet 'law & order!!!!' - it is the cry of the oppressor, it was used by hitler, its being used by trump, these days 'law and order' is simply the dictators message for - do as your told or you will be unjustly punished.

America is currently bundling innocent people away in unmarked vans by unmarked police & organised gov appointed thugs, its also got concentration camps sterilising humans against their will.

Of course, the UK isn't quite there yet - but with a bumbling idiot at the helm who is a huge human rights abuser (as is mostly the torys), they would absolutely love to follow America's example, hyper capatalists of the UK would always try to follow the worlds leading captalist regime.

The UK has gone in to free fall in the past 5 years and now corona and brexit will accelerate plans that attack human society. All this societal control that covid has introduced, I doubt it will just go away once its dealt with - once somethings gone 'over the line' as far as law making goes, its hard to go back on it, for example brexit is clearly madness - so far the UK has lost more money than it ever gave the EU in the past 47 years - all that wasted money could have fed the entire country for a year, we all could have ate for free, for a year......, it makes total sense to reverse it - but doing so is incredibly hard for some reason, reality always comes second to emotional kicking and screaming of 'i want my brexit' - even though its already done more harm than anything else in the last half century.

Anyways, because of all this complete **** show, its little wonder more and more people have zero regard for gov, and in turn everything else that trickles down from westminster.

Do I have respect for individual police on the street? Sure, some of them, some/most really want to help, but its on a case by case basis...................american cops however can all go to hell, what they are doing to innocent people they are meant to be on the side of, is horrendous - I have yet to see the good cops of the usa put a complete end to it, not even a hint of progress.

you really need to see a doctor.

IIRC the guy who was doing the referring and work was not a "certified ob gyn", there is apparently no legal requirement for him to be certified but it's considered best practice as it means you've shown you have a good knowledge of those specific areas and are more accountable via the bodies that monitor those specialities.

It's a nice use of wording in the statement, but has holes you could drive a double decker through it, and it also doesn't state how up to date those statistics are.
