Defragmenting...

The Windows one is fairly rubbish really. I've found Perfectdisk to be very good, they do a 30-day trial so it might be worth a try.
 
Also check out disk keeper.

XP was a cut down version of disk keeper.

Full version is very good (it can monitor what files you use on a daily basis and put them closer for faster accessing...
 
Perfect Disk 7.0 was tested by many sites and found to be the best, if you set up advanced settings it will defrag even better but take longer obv, I gather version 8.0 will be better still and I do normally use it when on a full permanent install not test HDD's like right now.
 
Diskeeper is pretty good, got loads of different functions and stuff.

Finds the hard drive is still fragmented even after using the Windows one.
