Paradroid and Uridium were two of the very best games from the 8-bit era in my opinion.

Ah, well if we're going to do that, may I humbly suggest the legendary Mike Singleton! Lords of Midnight is still an amazing strategy game today. Carrier Command is beloved by anyone who's ever played it and is being remade by Bohemia Interactive. And just imagine what the Midwinter games would be like if they'd been made today!

Ah, Paradroid 90. Had it on my old Atari 520 STE. Oh the memories.
 
The mighty papyrus calling it a day was a sad affair, ditto when siera called time on dynamix when they finished tribes 2.

more personal... empire as a publisher, cunning developments, the guys that did the pro pinball series.

Some great mentions, you guys haven't forgotten about Totally Games have you? Yeah they switched industry so they are as good as dead to me (that and they don't get to make a new X wing).
