Delays getting GPU work

Started over the weekend & has been as long as 2-3hrs before I can get a new WU. Anyone else having the same problem? Then a few more EEU's to put anothe dent in my ppd

Yes having the same problem, My 2 Video cards did not get a work unit for 6 hours last night cause of this.

I guess I'm a little paranoid due to my recent coversion to Vista, possibilty that my internet connection is having problems again or that it might be uTorrent interfering & if it specific to me how to fix things. Oh well I've a WU now

I've had this a lot. 7 hours lost from inability to download a WU then 4 EUE in a row all under 10% :| not pleased.

If you guys have your cards overclocked at all you should put them back at stock and see if you get EUEs. Also make sure the cards are cool enough.

I have my cards overclocked a bit and I'm not getting EUEs

Funny enough, the string of EUEs I was getting was on a fresh Vista install (dual booting with Server 2008 in an attempt to get this sodding bletooth to work) with the card stock clocked. Soon as I wacked the card up to 710c/1235m/1501s the EUEs stopped :confused:

Interesting Senture.
Vista 64 2 weeks old card @ stock but riva tuner has upped fan from 32 to 60% dropping temp from 74 to 62C
Just had another 1 1/2 hrs without WU restarted client after 8 failures & on 4th attempt got a new WU

I noticed mine been idle the past few days, I thought maybe something was borked but I might just leave it now and see if it picks up a new WU.

Haven't had a new GPU WU for nearly five hours. SMP WUs are still coming through (although I'm getting all the crap ones like 5102) so it's a problem at Stanford. I suspect they've underestimated the way that GPU folding would take off so haven't allocated enough work servers. Just when I'm about to pass the megapoint too.

Stanford CS net down briefly, back up now

The Stanford CS building was off line briefly today starting at about 1:30pm pacific time, lasting for about 3 hours. This meant that all of our machines on the 171.64.65.xx subnet were off line. It looks like everything is back on line and Stanford IT is looking into causes. This will likely lead to a bit of an excess load for a while until things settle down.

At least you're not getting a BSOD every 30 mins thanks to these god damn Netgear drivers :mad:

Had a rash (oo-er) of this from early yesterday morning too.

Losing about 1 or 2 wu a day so it's screwing up my ppd something fierce!

Ah well, Christmas is coming.....

(don't ask me what that's got to do with anything...)

Senture - are you using latest Netgear drivers or the optimised firmware?
I found an 834GT was better the my Be Box speedtouch 716.

The problem I was getting I thought was due to my WG311 PCI WiFi adapter. Had no previous problems with the 3.1 drivers but both Server 2008 x64 and Vista SP1 x64 keep BSODing with this error: 0x0000007F tcpip.sys

Changed the drivers to 3.0, BSOD. 2.0, BSOD. Stock Windows driver, BSOD. Windows update driver, BSOD. Also tried every network driver for my onboard LAN on my GA-P35-DS4 I could find and it's decided to BSOD on each one :mad:

Thought i was losing
same issue's here not had any new work units for GPU since early last night
Hope they sort it soon my stats are feeling the pinch

EDIT : i found if you restart the client a few times it seems to get a WU

Yeah but it doesn't explain why we're still having problems getting GPU WUs only. I still think it's due to insufficient resources at Stanford. Or perhaps they're rationing them.
