Delays getting GPU work

i was hoping to break in to the sub 200 team ranks this week after todays lack of output i think i will struggle before rich posts stats on thursday

i hope its just a cse of them doing maintence on a couple of the servers and everything will be back to normal shortly

I can't find the post right now, or I would put it up here, but basically, we have more processing capacity than the servers can cope with, and the Pande Group needs to put more projects on NV-GPU servers.

It was explained something like, "It's a Fire Hydrant", the WU flood gate opens, then fills the server, but the processing capacity quickly runs the server(s) out WU's, its some kind of suge affect.

They are working on a fix, but that will only level / meter out the distribution. I think they under estimated the processing capacity "Just A Bit".

My question is, do they have the staff to actually analyze the volumes of completed simulations. It must to be an overwhelming task.

I was getting EUE's at first, then I updated my drivers 178.24 and it's been smooth sailing ever since (Apart From No WU's LMAO ). May have been Vista-32 issue, as reading the release notes, there isn't any bug fixes that are obvious, although CUDA 2.0 is included, which may have something to do with it.

@ Viking - misery loves company.
Looks like it is not just me so I'll hold off adjusting my setting & see what tomorrow brings.
Can't upload 2 finished wu's either:(
 
I hope they get this sorted ASAP - no amount of deleting WU/client files seems to fix the problem, and wednesday is usually a big folding day for me!

EDIT: Picked up some 5506 units now (like viking), but lost two already completed units in the process... :(

Ahh thanks for the info guys - just moved home temporarily and in the process managed to upset 2 of my 3 VMs and now found my GPU was crapping out too - don't mind waiting for this to get sorted but don't want to be wasting my time reinstalling when it's a duff project :p
 
I went out for a couple of hours and came back to find my GPU had been floundering on the 5801s while my back was turned. Restarted the client and got a 5506. Not sure the last two completed WUs have both uploaded but should find out when the current stats update finishes. The megapoint is very close now....
 
I got the Unstable Machine message too.

Bloody rude of them to suggest such a thing. It should really read 'Unstable Machine!!! (or quite likely we've buggered up on one of the projects so don't panic just yet. kthnksbye.)
