i gotta say, i love my jerker desk from ikea, great quality build, and i got the additional shelf for the top, along with cd/magazine holders

I've had the jerker for about 6 years now, it cost £150'odd when I got it, I think it's a bit cheaper now. It's lasted very well, it's still totally solid and doesn't wobble and hasn't bowed from the weight of my old 25kg Trinitron CRT like my previous desks did. Only problems are that after many years of use, the veneer around the mouse area is dull as it's worn (but hasn't bubbled and peeled up like my brother's desk... eew), and it's bloody deep. It was fine for a CRT, but now I've got an LCD, I've got about half a metre of space behind it. I'm moving to a small flat in a few months, I'm considering hacking the back off of the desk and shoving it all back. Brilliant desk though (but no drawers, you'll have to buy them separately).

I designed my own in Corel Draw.
I even took pictures of the main hardware and put them on the design.
I added some DVD space and decided to turn the cupboard on the left into drawers.

Where do you put your legs man

Heh I must have missed that bit, still though, it demonstrates the same thing dmpoole has shown, custom is always best.....you get exactly what you want, the way you want it.

Do you find the surround sound effect is particularly strong with all 5 speakers infront of you? :p

And, oh my, the center off to one side, that'd drive me nuts.

Edit: Got enough iPods?

Anything else lol?

Ok here we go, as you can see the stuff on the desk in the last pic is pretty much all new and was purchased just before I started again for uni so the layout at home didn't really bother me as it was just staying like that for a short period of time (at the moment the desk is totally clear of items - until summer time). When I come back home for the summer, i'll have everything positioned properly, the screen will be mounted on the wall, allowing for the centre speaker to be in the middle and i'll do something with the surround speakers.
