DELETED_3139

working from memory here (xp s939 nf4 board).

iirc my raid controller can mirror raid without reinstall (obviously backup) if you do it via the raid setup during boot etc.

My pci raid card will prompt for a direct drive copy if you select raid1. I presume it would be then up and running after without any need to reinstall

couldnt you just image your drive to save the OS & data, format into RAID, then restore the image?

This is what I'd try.

Use the inbuilt imaging utility in vista and create an image to a spare hdd. Create the RAID array, boot off the vista disk and then restore the image.

Should work!

If you go into backup and restore center, there's an option to "back up computer"

This will take an image of your PC, which you can then restore off if you boot off the vista disk.

I'm not sure about the driver issue for the RAID array though, is it possible that vista has the driver inbuilt?
