It's very interesting to see that the poll results have shifted from the original standpoint. Quite a lot more than half of the votes were "No" in the first week of action.

half the yes people are probably "gotta suport our boys in the military init" :p

Why do you say this?

The intervention was not about regime change, that didn't last long. It will not be a long drawn out mission, the RAF are now planning for the next 6 months in Libya.

And of course we have landed a prize asset, no, I don't mean oil.

Need I go on?

Well they have had to endure 2wks of media coverage describing our heroic rescue of civilians and how Gaddafi practically had gas chambers built for his people.

It was always about regime change. As usual they didn't do their homework first and analysed the situation. Instead of a short action and Mr Cameron shouting "Rejoice, Rejoice", we are looking at £100Millions down the drain. Just as well the UK is flush with cash ;)

We were told it wasn't about regime change, that was my point.

Yes I've been keeping an eye on these too.

Wonder what the results would be now if everyone was allowed to re-vote.

I thought the vote would have swayed towards no, considering the fact that what has happened isn't how it was sold to the public, the same can be said for the Iraq war too.

I was chatting with a mate down the pub this evening, he works in Saudi/Bahrain. 140 litres of petrol costs him £5, and the motorbike fills for free as there isn't currency small enough :D.

The world does not have enough resources for them to be given away for nothing.

Thats terrible.

No.

The price of petrol doesn't affect my driving in the slightest. Obviously if it was cheaper I'd have more money left for other ****, but I wouldn't use any more petrol.

I don't beleive you.

Not just the way you drive. But how often you drive, how far, and for what reason.

Lets say for example that you personally somehow wouldn't use anymore petrol / diesel than you do now. This is not the case for the vast majority, so my point still stands.
