Bought a new car seat a couple of days ago from Amazon who used Yodel to deliver it and while my gf was out they left it behind the bin which is in clear view of the street where people sit outside the front of their houses, now this wouldnt be a problem but where I live I dont really trust them not to just half inch it. I live in Chavport and I live on the school foot route. Infact I'd be very surprised if more than 25% of my street actually have jobs. The item itself was in a box probably as big as the bin.. so it wasn't very discrete.

Gf was out shopping for around 2 hours and I was at work, the baby needed some milk as it was pretty low or she'd have stayed in so no exact time of how long it was left for.

I was wondering, who do I contact to complain about it?

Amazon EU S.a.r.L. - Seller
or
Yodel

Or do I complain to both? What'd you do?

The people who sold you the item and sent it have the contract with the delivery firm so complain to them.

Yep, I've had Yodel to that for orders from that place as well. Although they actually put it in the bin.

edit: bin was empty, so i guess they might have left it outside if it wasn't

I'm hearing nothing but good things about Yodel!

Also, I bet the only reason it wasn't half-inched was that, being next to the bin, people thought it was an empty box.

Amazon - you have no contract with Yodel.

Worth noting that it's quite likely Yodel have some sort of SLA with Amazon whereby they can leave parcels in what the driver considers to be a safe place.

Nah it wasn't stolen. I did start writing to Amazon but I thought to the GD forums for some advice as like above I've seen some bad things about Yodel.

Just annoys me because if it had of been stolen, we need it very soon as we're planning on a 619mile round trip (my mates Navy passing out parade for those who're nosey ;D) and he's got very little room left in his current car seat

I wouldn't, saved you the hassle of not collecting it and if it does get pinched they fork out the cost.

I like it when postmen leaves stuff.

Don't complain, my mum bought one of them steam generator irons. They left it outside the gate, my mum rang up and said it was stolen, gave it to my auntie, they sent a new one :p Theft but its their own fault if I'm honest.

LOL AcidHell's got it ^^

Id probably think to myself "Phew at least it didnt get stolen, oh well, at least it saves me going to pick it up at a later date"... then go about my life.
