DELL 2407 Arrives at OcUK!!

Do you know if these are the monitors that have had the banding issues fixed as mentioned here; 2407 Forum or are they from the early batchs that had the banding probs.

The 2407 UK stocks are different to US/Asia, hopefully should not suffer with the same problems

That loooks pretty nice. Bit annoyed the 2007 hasn't got hdcp, what's that about?! Are you getting the wide screen version in at all?

EDIT:Just found a review that says the 2007WFP has hdcp so thats ok, also suggested that the widescreen version is cheaper. Hope so, i'm very interested in this monitor

The way i see it is that all monitors are vista ready, but if you want to play blu-ray or HD-DVD on it your going to need a HDCP compatible monitor and the dell 2407 is.

No. Only the display of encrypted HD content from within Vista would require HDCP capable equipment.

All other material, normal 2d stuff, playing games etc. is not going to be any different - if it was, Vista would never get off the ground.

was wondering is HDCP support very important to have when buyig a new lcd monitor? what happens if you dont have HDCP support?

it wont allow HD content over the DVI connection. There's a good article about it on BeHardware here:
