This link to a Dell rep on there forums clearly shows that no revision or firmware update has been done yet.

It is just wishful and misleading to think otherwise.

A00 is still shipping

We've jujst received a new unit in from Dell and it's REV A01 date on the label is 21/7/08 so it's as new as they come

Doesn't mean OcUK are sending out A01s yet though (I'm presuming Sallermas doesn't work for OcUK). I'm guessing what probably happened is Gibbo got word from Dell that the next shipment would be A01 so he changed the monitor description, but meanwhile they have stock of A00 to clear out first (maybe that's why it's been on offer for so long).

Any word on confirmed improvements?

Yes, it does look like the forum members who received their Monitors over the weekend got the last of the A00's.

They are quoting REV A01 on the basis someone at Dell told them their revisions have the "Firmware Fix" this does not mean they are actually REV A01

its a shame the A01's havent been confirmed yet as the offer ends on them end today, hopefully upon receiving the A01 Models ocuk put them on or keep them on offer

hope somebody posts news tonight as I was hoping to buy this monitor

I'm now confused. Sallermas, have you actually seen with your own eye's a 2408 monitor with a A01 label?
I assumed from your previous post you were sent one directly from Dell.

Confirmation OcUK has no A01's.
It's just strange that the sales people would be saying that they had them.
It does not fill one with confidence.

They've now removed "REV A01" from the page but without any comment on the forums - NOT GOOD! especially if any one has ordered a "REV A01" !

You would think someone from OcUk has monitored this thread and would have been able to clarify the situation long ago. Poor customer relations indeed.

As OcUK have said time and again, this forum is primarily for user <-> user support and advice.

If you need to let them know about something pronto that's what web-notes are for.

Exactly. That why members who have posted here also sent webnote's that were returned with incorrect information, which in turn just added to the confusion.

Either way there response has been poor.

Can anyone with the Dell 2408 (A00) comment on the lag issue with games, is it 'that' bad? I really like this monitor, and as I'm not an uber gamer, just a casual gamer, would I really notice a lag issue?

Its an input delay, i.e what you see on the screen was sent by the gfx card approx 60ms earlier... What I want to know from actual owners of this monitor, is it really noticable to a casual gamer?
