YES! Finally a step in the right direction.

Will wait for Dell IPS G-sync now.

Agree, my DELLs have been faultless and I feel much better than the reports I've read of Acer/Asus. I'll be keeping an eye on this!

Wow, did not think Dell would take a step into the high refresh and variable sync rate gaming market - very interesting!

I think G-sync II is just the improved version of G-sync which works with windowed mode, whereas previously it was full screen only.

And also additional inputs can be used on the monitor without requiring an additional scaler.

If dell release a superwide 1440p IPS or VA curved with gsync, that hits 100hz. Like the upcoming Acer x34, that's it. Job done. Buy it.

Very interested in this if its IPS or VA. Seems the Gen II is just a mistake on the dell blog.

It uses a TN panel! Similar to that used by the XL2730Z and PG278Q.

The SE2716H mentioned in the Tech report article will come with a VA panel but as yet no technical details on the S2716DG but it will be on sale on the Dell US site on the 30th October.

Been waiting for this! Just hope they keep design the same as their other monitors and it comes with their premium panel guarantee.
