Dell S2716DG - Dells first G-sync

Started using the monitor properly today. It has really bad ghosting - watch the blue 'reply' button

Is anyone else getting this?

I've tried with the recommended settings, my settings, lowering refresh from 144 to 120. ULMB solves it, but Gsync is my goal.

got mine yesterday along with my new system and all i can say is WOW.
Coming from a gtx980 and standard 1080p 60fps monitor to a HOF GTX980 TI and this Dell g-ysnc 144fps at 2560x1440 and still be able to run latest games above 60fps buttery smooth with no screen tear or anything is a sight to behold to the eyes.

That's normal. It's one of the transitions that is achieved with moderate overshoot (inverse ghosting), even using the 'Normal' response time setting.

I don't have it so bad on the swift.

Will keep using it and see if I can live with it.

There are some transitions that the PG278Q struggles with, but this isn't one of them. It's a different monitor and the overdrive implementation is different.

Hi i am looking at this monitor.
and i have some doubts if i should get this over IPS
as i had IPS before but honestly right now i am using an old TN panel and i am quite happy on it.
i only want it for gaming and wonder is there a huge difference in IPS and the TN when i look at the price tag of what ips panels cost
i just wanted other people's opinions on this monitor even thought it is TN.
thanks!!

Pulled the trigger and went for this panel
i got it minus the vat so comes in at £320 if it is not great i guess i have time to return it.
but for general gaming and nothing else.
i feel this is a great price for a gaming screen with g sync.
lets hope it comes down with a uk plug :D

Could any super friendly Dell S2716DG owner please measure the distance from the top of this monitor to the bottom of the stand (ie table level) when the monitor is as low down as possible? It would be very much appreciated! :D

Just re-tested. Pushed the screen all the way to the bottom of its travel and tilted the screen to 90deg (i.e. vertical) and totally horizontal. Desk to top of screen is 418-419mm so go with 420mm to be safe. For my monitor its definately nothing like 435mm

There was a big ball of dust or something stopping the runners going right to the bottom on mine. Oh my. Yeah, it's 420mm max. :p
