As long as the gsync setting shows in the nvidia control panel. Set this to either full screen, or windowed/fullscreen. I'd also make sure vsync is set on in the global settings and also gsync. That's it really. Now enjoy
Really, you use Vsync with a G-sync monitor?
PS. As I understand it. V-sync will only have an effect if you exceed your monitors refresh rate. Without it on, you can still get tearing above this with just G-sync on. Unless this has now changed.
G-Sync on and V-Sync off with a framerate cap just below the screen refresh rate used to produce the lowest latency and keep you within the G-Sync window but for some reason with more recent drivers doing this results in occasional tearing which didn't used to happen before - the other option is to use FastSync instead of Off.
So far not had the 144Hz flicker problem dunno why some people seem to be plagued by it and others like myself completely unaffected over multiple setups.
Try out the Duronic DM353 or the various single, twin or triple models they produce. Very sturdy and well build.
Very happy with the one I've got and the support from them was also good when I went from a single mount to a twin.
Got one of these being delivered today.
Reviews are mixed, obviously getting high praise on this owners thread but a lot saying colours aren't up to much.
Should i have anything to worry about?
As long as you get a decent panel (eg. No dead pixels etc.) you should be ok. As to the colours, just play around in graphics card control panel until you get a balance that you like. You might even find that it suits you out of the box. As I've commented previously, there's no golden bullet, when it comes to adjusting a screen to suit you. One of the biggest things that tends to get overlooked, is personal choice. One persons set up, even if done with expensive test equipment, might not suit you or your particular panel. Not always the case.... But again as commented before. I've seen screens where owners have had the brightness and colour vibrance set so high, that it almost makes my eyes bleed. But they think it's great and if they are happy, who am I to argue. As I say, personal choice.
In my personal opinion. With a bit of effort, you can get this panel to look pretty good.
Good luck
PS. By all means try some of other people's settings. There are several mentioned in this thread. Or the settings from tft central. But I suspect in the end, you will still end up tweaking it to suit you.
so just had a blast on f1.
Steams fps counter is running at about 90 on ultra settings.
Just played some 1440p youtube clips and there seems to be a lot of noise and a bit of judder.
Is there something i dont have set up right?
Just check in the Nvidia control panel that G-sync is enabled.
If having issues with flicker on desktop, or simple desktop applications (browser etc.) then try setting the desktop max refresh rate to 120Hz in the NCP (this wont effect most games and they will still run up to 144FPS). Worth a try.
PS. Can check for dead pixels with DPT (Dead Pixel Test) http://dps.uk.com/software/dpt
PPS. Have a look on the previous page on this thread, for a discussion of whether to set V-sync on in the NCP as well.
Had a decent amount of time with it now and its great, really please with it..
Only small issue is I'm getting a flicker at 144hz on the desktop so had to drop it to 120 but other than that its really impressing me
