Chris did you get lg revision version or their original?

andantech review had one of each type of revision 2nd was much better.

Yeah it's Rev 00 & Firmware 1.23. Another reason I'm trying to get it replaced. Ridiculous that retailers have no idea of their stocks revisions!
Either way the pixel response hasn't improved it's the same panel, maybe I'm just too picky.

well monitor wise in last 2 years ive had

imac2560x1440
samsung 305t plus 2560x1600 pva
hp lp2475w panel 1920x1200 ips
samsung 23inch tn monitor 1650x1050 tn
samsung sa950d 1920x1080 3d tn

now dell u2913wm

2560x1600 i sold requireso much gpu. 1440 is close to 1600 so sli/xfire i think might be required which is why i went for this

ive calibrated them all with spyder pro 3 but i think spyder doesnt do led well so ill have to see

£395.99 on This week only deals, Nice price. If I did not have a 2713 I would be tempted by one of these again quite fancy trying 21x9.

Lol great, so they dropped the price from £480 to £440, and now put it on the weekly deal that was cheaper than 'outstanding' daily deal that i went for. Typical.

not impressed so far (setup wise)

took 30 mins to setup.

1. 30 seconds to put together

2. tried mini dp to displayport didnt work as screen kept turning off.

3. after 10 minutes trying different leads as it said
"no video signal going to power save"

4. tried there power cable

5. then stayed on & said wrong dvi timing. checked pc screen resolutions it said 2560x1080 ~ 60hz aswell as ccc. which is correct. went into to ccc there was a tick option for different timings for high resolution monitors.

now it works.

i dont know if this ati fault or dell (timing issue) but it should say on the osd.. before turning off. oh well ill try the screen now :confused:

So what are your thoughts on the monitors and the 21:9 aspect so far? Both the monitors I'm trying to decide between (U2913WM and U2713HM) are on sale just now so feeling like I need to push the "Buy Now" button before the end of the week!

On the contrary i got mine today, hooked it up and it worked straight away without changing any settings. Defect free and no dead or stuck pixels either thank god

Just phoned up the competitor I bought the LG from, gonna get a refund instead of replacement and grab the Dell instead. It doesn't look as pretty but I know Dell monitors are fantastic, get a 10 yer old Dell 2001FP still serving me well!
