Delvis: weight lifting log - time to conquer

Final week of HST

Deadlift: 3*5*135kg
Front squat: 3*5*80kg
Cable tie machine: 3*6*63.5kg
OHP: 5s*40kg,40kg,37.5kg

Front squat probably a PB, OHP also probably a PB.
Deadlifts taking there till, as are the front squats, Friday will be interesting.

Finished the cycle today on 140kg deads for 3*5, front squat for 3*5, OHP 40kg for 3*5 (which is great for me really.

Squats got to 95kg I think, dB bench is at 34kg, it's the standard struggling to get them into position for the first rep.

It was certainly a change from what I'd normally be doing :)

What sort of programming do you following? A/B split? Then 2*15 for 2 weeks, 2*10 for 2 weeks, then 3*5 for 4 (or whatever)?
Full body, 2*15, 3*10, 3*5 (for 2 weeks each), then a week of PBs. Repeat for another cycle, then change to something else for a bit before inevitably returning to hst because I like it. The 15s are a lick out though aren't they.

By lick out I assume you mean horrendous :D

I enjoyed it. Also enjoyed my Ed Coan cycle a few years back

Interesting you do the 10s for 3 sets, then the 5s for two weeks...may try that next time, we shall see

End of second HST cycle:
Squats vid
Deadlift vid

3*5*140kg for Deadlifts
3*5*85kg for Front squats
3*5*100kg for squats
3*5*45kg for Push press
5*36kg DBs for Bench press

Can't moan, happy with progress so far and it's actually beginning to be a really good year for my historically weak lifts such as squat and dB bench.

Will try maxes next week I think as I've done two cycles of HST now in a row, then back on it.

Tried a squat PB today, failed the 130kg which I'm fine with, never had that weight on my back before so meh.

Ended up doing 120kg before, happy with that seeing as I've not touched that weight in a few years.

This might sound really dumb, but try descending slower.

You can probably do 130kg because your descent shows good control, but you collapsed forward and took the weight on your back. Descend slowly and really focus on your legs and back, keeping your chest up
