Depressing adverts.

I know they serve a purpose but man, I wish Sky would give us the option to "opt out" from seeing them. For me personally if I have spare cash I will happily give to cancer research or a similar charity, I don't need to be guilted into doing so. There's one showing ATM where it's just 2 minutes of dying kids in Africa, which is terrible but it's not the sort of thing you want to see.

It's especially bad at Christmas when it seems every advert is about someone dying.

So what's your thoughts on them? Are they needed? Are they over the top? Have you ever donated after watching an advert?

Drink gallons and gallons of water.
Everytime the adverts come on you'll be at the toilet.

Usually as I sit down with my over sized dinner the advert comes on with dying kids.

As I switch through all my channels I'm greeted by More adverts I then know it to be a conspiracy. :mad:

I have Sky+, but you can't skip adverts unless you've already recorded the show, unless I'm missing something?

I don't worry about adverts as the sound comes off when they are on or they get skipped when recorded. There are far more important things to worry about.

The advert that does my head in is the one on the radio where a little girl is telling you how bad smoke is & how it's killing her going on & on in her droning little voice. I have to say that after hearing it for the umpteeth time I want it to ***** kill her. :mad:

Slightly off topic - but does anyone else have a problem on certain channels (Sky), where the adverts are a million times louder than the show your watching. Slightly embarrassing when your watching Game of Thrones at a reasonable volume, and then the Durex advert kicks in blaring out so the whole neighbourhood can hear....

Yeah this is really annoying. I also hate it when the speech is really low but the sound effects are super loud.
