Depression after uni?

LOL :D Id rather sit on my 160 a week and pay my mum 30 a week board while investing into savings accounts and hampers... easyyyy life.

Past 6 months i have bought the following:

Bed - £150
Xbox 360 - £200
LCD TV - £300
Nintendo DS Lite - £75
Laptop - £300

And im in the process of buying a Canon 400D at £400.

You cant beat this. Well you can but im happy!!

You live in Bradford though.

My closest friends and I have all been out of uni for approximately one year now and we all have jobs but recently everyone is depressed and thinks life is pointless. Is this a normal, get out of uni and realise life is a pants stage or are we feeding each others depression?

I got depressed during University but it had nothing to do with actually going to university.

Life isn't pointless.

Your friends have probably realised that life is 40 odd years of hard work and that, unlike University, there are some serious commitments in life.

Enjoy.

You need to raise your expectations mate...

Hampers lol :D

Im getting a new job soon, 12k a year start. Im 18, im happy atm, i dont wana settle down into a job, family anything like that as soon enough i want to travel.

As for the hampers, i got into debt at xmas which was crap, so ive started putting 20 a month away which ill get back in nov so i can buy presents and not have to folk out my own money.

Still lolling? You rmost likely on a high paid job lol so you will be.

EDIT: Crap, Double post, sorry!.

...trips to blackpool and alton towers, seriously life is what you make it, im making mine good.

:D:D:D

Edit: Sorry, you're right. I'm glad you're happy, there's a lot to say for that.

I was only laughing at the hamper thing as didn't the main hamper company go under a few years back? I'm just surprised anyone does it these days.

Wow, you're so amazing. I wish I could be like you, er, hang on I am except I have the above (in spades) and I have my own place too!

£300 for a laptop? That's got to be some Acer rubbish or something! I win here too as my laptop is far more cooler than yours.

In case you missed it the point here is it is not money or things that make your life worthwhile - it's what you do for others. As long as you're happy though... :p

I might change careers again for a laugh, but whatever i do, i'm always on a PC, everyday, when i get home too. How am i not blind?

I'll give it til summer then demand an obscene pay rise, then go from there.

Theres a lot of viable companies out there that still provide hampers. I cant actually decide weather your been sarcastic or not. But i am happy, ive had quite a bit go wrong for me and since i moved to bradford my lifes been perfect. Ive got wquite a bit to show for my money and i go where i want when i want aslong as i can afford it, i went to Benidorm last year aswell..

Some of these things might not look much but when your paying and your there it means a lot.

People could laugh at where i go or what i own, but to be honest, its what i want so.. Im a lot better off than a lot of people.

You live in Bradford though.

I live in the outskirts and i live with my mum hense board, i dont have a choice in where i live.

No need for such a post tbh, and its a Dell Insp 1150, i aitn too bothered about having my own place, i cant justify spending so much on a flat when i dont need to atm, im not even in much anyway so whats the point.

Kinda, out 5 times a week, didn't really go lectures missed perhaps about 50% of them. Loads of time off, didn't really do a lot tbh

I turned up to like 10% (for tests), then just did each assignment in 5 minutes.

Then again i did do I.T. haha, that's like Gordon Ramsey going to food college :D

Although they could laugh at what you have or where you go they would be lesser men if they did.

You (and 99.9% of people) are better off than most people as you have a roof over your head, don't have to worry that the water you drink may kill you or where the next meal is coming from or if the local Militia will rape you.
