He does do the tricks very well - only annoying thing is that nervous (maybe?) tick he has of nodding his head twice every 10 minutes or so!!

This is part of the way his mind tricks work. The head nod gets associated with a word or meaning, and then the next time he nods his head, you will subconsciously recall that same word. He uses this technique to make people think of certain things.

This. Take the 'weight on a string' part, where they have to tell the weight to start swaying and going in circles. They're supposed to make it move with their mind, which is obviously impossible, so he picks the people who've made it swing the most (subconsciously moving it with their fingers) because he's more likely to get info out of them.

or the people who play along and a clearly moving it with their arm (ie. the bloke in the frilly shirt who was chosen for the table)
there was one bloke whose string stayed perfectly still. he was sent packing straight away

i just watched messiah.. shame he didn't out himself to them, would have been interesting to see their reactions

never did watch all that 'Heist' one, only saw the part were he gets the people to rob some sweets from that little shop lol, that was funny they were all dressed in suits when they did it, the shop keepers were so confused lol

I think that's part of The Heist? Or at least he did something very similar to test them in that show.

I just got the book the other day. It's actually incredibly funny, he has quite a funny way of writing. Didn't realise he had another 2. Will be on the lookout
