In actual fact, I posted a logo which also incorporated a power symbol just 30mins after Jonny's. I was playing FIFA with him when I noticed his. :p

I had been working on mine for an hour before seeing his logo.

There was a link posted earlier in this thread which showed just how overused the power symbol is.

I guess what's really annoying me is the fact that 80% of these designs in here look so similar to each other. I realise that the specs make it hard to deviate and create anything truly original but posting something that has pretty much already been posted but with slight differences is imho pointless.

The best designs so far have been the really original ones. Not just plain text with a shape around but something completely different such as Toffee's for example.

I was going for 'virtually the same but a bit more up to date looking' except I can't figure out how to put a custom pattern within text/paths in Inkscape :(

Every time I come to this thread I seem to find you moaning about something. Are you deliberately doing everything in your power to reinforce the stereotype that all Apple owners are socially inept?

I have made a suggestion regarding the methodology that the competition is run p2 i believe.

Posted an early entry regardless of how poor it may be. p3

I joked with a guy about him telling us he's going to post more later whilst providing us a copy of some already posted entries.

Then I decided to comment on the content of the thread.

Search for my name in the title you will see that that is all that I have said.

Clearly it is you that is trying to

Change on this one is a cleaner font IMO and slightly more simplified, the gloss im not sure of but it can be removed with ease.

So far i have went for a bold look throughout that is catchy and simple, no matter what the colour combination is; greyscale, black and white, full colour for all branding needed.

Everyone has posted some great designs and i hope at least some of mine have impressed.
(EPS available, Free font used etc)
 
Swapped the colours around a little, seeing as the current logo has a lot of white space. Think I actually prefer the other one, but seeing as it's done, I might as well post it...

am i the only one that thinks that's more like the denmark flag and the union jack at the side? swap the blue and red around
