Finally chose and bought a monitor arm, the Ergotron LX:

So you got it in the end then, nice one. It is a quality arm, so easy to move it around. Glad you're happy with it! I think i'm going to have to put cable ties on my cables now though like you've done. It looks very neat.

I need to sort out the cables behind my desk as well, everyone's setups are making mine look untidy

Can't remember now to be honest, but I'm sure if you Google 'PC cable trunking' or 'PC cable conduit' you'll find something. Mine is 50mm x 50mm which is big enough to fit ALL my cables including chunky power and scart cables.

Yeah cable ties are a fantasic invention I use loads of them. Buy a pack of 100 and you end up cable tidying absolutely everything

Yeh i have a few hundred of the things lying around, i've just never extended their useage to outside the pc before

well i am still waiting to move in to my new house so have set up a temporary studio as work calls.

there are 2 macbook pros running with a 22" monitor on each i use one for video editing and one for sound work. until i can get osx running on my pc its just for games

All my cables run through it - one of the best purchases I've ever made.
