What are those speakers like? They better as they are stuido ones? Dont you need an amp to power them, to listen to music thru your pc?

nahh they'll be powered monitors, in terms of quality wise, normal hifi speakers seem to scoop the mids, so you get a lot of top end and a lot of bottom end, so these should be pretty decent for gaming, even though not extremely high end, i think for gaming you cant really go wrong.

Quite happy with my 15quid logitech ones atm, sound wise, they sound good. But iam sure those m-audio ones, would destroy my logitechs. Would like to check them out first at a shop.

go to a decent music shop and ask to listen to monitors before you fork out decent money, they always let you, you'd be stupid not to!

I've had a play with them for 2 days now and can say;-

They are very revealing to what source you play through them also flat response.

Bass is tight and treble is slightly on the high side, but overall very clear!

Any wider shots? Likes nice and clean.

What lighting are you using?

Excuse the terrible photo. Using my Girl friends camera which only seems to take decent photos outside :(

Lighting, all I have is one of those small desk lamps with the very small bulb in them pointing up towards the wall :)

That's very nice and clean.

What's the box to the side next tho the sub? ML server?

Thanks :)

My file/VM server, left on 24/7

Its a HP ML115 G5 Server- AMD Operon 2.4Ghz, 3.5Gb of RAM & 3x 320Gb HDs in RAID5. I need to replace the rear 92mm fan soon as its a little loud.

That's what I should have got for a VMWare box, but I've ended up getting bits together for a 2nd box.

ML115 G5, do they have hot swap drives (sorry I only working with DL38x ML370 DL58x) at the mo. I must re-install HP Product Bulletin.

iirc yes they do. A while ago when I first did a clean install I pulled one of the drives whilst running out of the caddy -to test. Then replaced it. It then started rebuilding the array.

It uses a Nvidia chipset for the RAID.

It's been a solid machine. Very well built.
