For me i say both. Casual gaming = big hdtv, hardcore gaming = high rez monitor

Why would PC gamer would want to game on a 40" TV screen rather than a 24" + monitor with much higher res.

A 24" screen is barely higher res than a telly. I'll take my 32" 1080p over a 24", video fits better, wider/more natural FOV etc.

Either way I still wouldn't fancy playing Crysis for example on my PC with a control pad, that's what consoles are for.

its solid from Dansk. ive had 2 of them monitors on laptop photoframe router & PC which is about 60KG its been fine.

How do you folks with glass desks tackle fingerprints and stuff? I'd imagine they're a magnet for such stuff going by my experience of touchscreen phones which are hard enough to keep smudge free!
