Hmm it may be because of the use of floorstanders on my system and that I'm just accustomed to the sound from a pair of floorstanders!

Bass is deep and detailed, just sit back and enjoy :D

Also only having ever had Rotel and NAD amps I guess I'm used to the sound from them too!

Hello fellas,been reading forums for a bit now so decided to sign up and join in the fun of setup pics,not finished setup just yet as there is 2x JBL monitors to go up yet,and a good cable tidy underneath desk and case needs a few tweaks with cable management

Sold my 2407s. Streamlining the comp room. Gonna get a macbook pro i think, may wait till after the apple announcement coming up though as the are rumoured i5 macbooks pros coming!

go on r2d2 spill the secrets of cable management? even the power brick to the left of the lappy almost looks like it has no wires
 
thats a nice little room you've got there r2d2, almost reminds me of a gadget showroom with all the electric stuff lying around in their stands.

No real secrets mate. The main desk has two ikea cable management racks at the rear of the desk which I have modded to fit the back of the desk. Modded by simply physically bending the screw thread fitting sections by 90 degrees so the rack would fit the back of the desk.

The smaller desk, I drilled a hole at the top back, for the all the cables/ power block cables to go into.

Its taken a while, much easier now with less monitors.

On the desk with the netbook on it, just behind it there is a curvy thing with a perspex looking cover over it, what on earth is that thing? :P

Thats the chord qbd76 dac. I recently bought the rack/stand for it, which makes it easier to select/ check the source etc. A buddy made the clear acrylic cover for me.

They are Wharfdales, but I have no clue on model numbers etc. They are stickerless and in fact the only reason I know they are Wharfdales is because the shop they were bought from 10 years ago said they were... :D

Living with parents still means I can't get the most out of them 90% of the time anyway so they are perfect for what I need.

Is that tv connected to a skybox/hd skybox?
