Thanks, why did you have to post right after me? Your setup completely overshadows mine haha!

And yes, the monitor arm is really excellent. I've had it for a few years now and I would not go back to using the normal stand. It's so much more flexible and is great for watching films as it can extend further than the front of my desk and point towards my bed.

You have a much better setup than the one I had when I was at uni mate.

And once again love the setup r2d2, where are all the haters?!

Oh and r2d2 can I ask what little setup you have going on there for the iphone and ipod or ipod touch? I don't see any wires so how are they charged? looks interesting

But it seems a bit pricey for what it is...can anyone recommend something similar for a bit cheaper??

Thanks for the kind words mate. The ipod and touch i just hook upto the macbook pro when i need to charge them. take the macbook of the stand and put it in between both.

I disconnect the cables when not in use lol.

Maybe a nice piece of oak worktop. I bought 3 meters of solid oak worktop from the bay for £100. Might be a little more cost then a door, but sanded and varnished it would look beautiful.

I thought I would post an update of my setup. I finally had some time to try out a macbook pro, and I was very impressed, so much in fact that I got one lol.
I can see what all the fuss is about.

Lol so funny, i was actually thinking its been like nearly 2 pages since we've seen r2d2's set up and boom yet again there it is.....

I'l post up some pictures again of my room 2nite... I had a new coaster for my cup ...... sure that warrents a picture up date????
